Psychoanalysis meets the public sphere
Couch & Agora
A space for thinking and resonance that connects inner dynamics – affects, conflicts, fantasies – with public debates. Essays, analyses, and audio formats since October 2025.
Couch
The psychoanalytic stance: attention to the inner world, the unconscious, ambivalence, and conflict.
Agora
The public square where ideas are debated, examined, and negotiated.
Reading Modes
Each post offers multiple points of entry:

Fictional Discussion
A staged panel: Different voices – author, counterposition, affected party, historical reference – put arguments in dialogue with each other. AI deliberately takes on roles, not to produce truths, but to make hypotheses audible and tangible.

Resonance is welcome. Brief responses via the box under “Reading Modes & Extras” or section-specific comments via the 💬 symbol. Comments flow – clearly marked – into later versions.
Method
These texts emerge through reflective co-production: AI serves as an artificial peer to test theses and sharpen counterarguments. Authorship, decisions, and responsibility rest with Florian Lampersberger.
“Psychoanalysts repress the social; in their niche between armchair and couch, there is no room for social life.”
— Paul Parin, 1978
This project works against that blind spot.
